Cupuacu Butter (Theobroma grandiflorum)
The Cupuacu is a fruit tree which grows in Brazil and is a cousin of the Cacao nut tree which chocolate is derived from. The creamy Cupuacu (pronounced cup-oo-as-soo) Butter is smoother than cocoa butter in texture. It is known in the Amazon as “the pharmacy ia fruit”. Helps restore damaged hair strands for fuller looking hair by promoting the recovery of natural elasticity and moisture. It is extremely beneficial for dry and damaged skin and hair. It restores the outer layer of hair strands for deep long lastin ng hydration.
Murumuru Butter (Astrocaryum murumuru)
Murumuru Butter (pronounced: Maa-roo-maa-roo) is cold pressed from the seeds of the Murumuru palm tree that grows in Brazil. The large fruits are edible and valued for their flavor in South America. It helps to prevent drying of the skin due to its moisture binding properties. It is a highly nourishing emollient and moisturizer and helps the skin and hair recover to its natural moisture content and elasticity. Murumuru is a wonderful moisturizer for all hair types.
Buriti Fruit Oil (Passiflora edulis)
Buriti Fruit Oil is extremely rich in essential fatty acids and carotenoids, including beta-carotene. Buriti is considered to be one of the richest sources of beta-carotene, with levels exceeding that of carrot seed oil. It is extremely rich in vitamin E and has one the richest natural source of pro-vitamin A available. The oil restores moisture lacking in sun-exposed hair. The rich unsaturated fatty acids in Buriti Oil help to rebuild, moisturize and re-hydrate hair strands.
Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii)
Shea butter is ancient ingredient used for centuries. It is expressed from the seed pits of the African butter tree. Shea butter is also called African Karité butter. It is smooth, creamy and white in color although the color may vary from batch to batch. It helps in nourishing the hair with Vitamin A, E, and F. Shea butter has also been known to repair damaged hair. It contains fatty acids which help in retaining hair moisture.
Grapeseed Oil (Vitis vinifera)
Grapeseed oil is a light and colorless made by cold-pressing the grape seeds, after they have been used to make wine. Egyptians ate grapes at least 6,000 years ago, and several ancient Greek philosophers praised the healing power of grapes. It has moisturizing and regenerative properties. Grapeseed oil is loaded with antioxidants and has many beneficial properties. It is light weight easily absorbed, rich in omega-6 fatty acids with omega-9 and omega-3 acids also for excellent conditioning hair.
Kukui Nut Oil (Aleurites molucanna)
Kukui Nut oil is native to a number of islands, including the Hawaiian Islands, as well as the Malaysia and Indonesia. The oil extracted from the Kukui Nut oil is clear, with light color of gold, and thin. It contains vitamins A, C and E, which are beneficial in keeping the hair hydrated and smooth. It is said to be anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant rich with anti-bacterial properties. Hawaiians use Kukui Nut oil on dry hair that has been damaged by the sun and wind. The amino acids and essential fatty acids in Kukui Nut oil penetrate the hair strands and leave hair looking healthy and moisturized.
Palmarosa Essential Oil (Cymbopogon martinii)
Palmarosa is a tall grass with long stems, aromatic leaves and flowering tops Palmarosa essential oil is made from the sweet smelling tropical grass Palmarosa and has the scent of a blend of Rose and Geranium oil. With its rose-like aroma it has become a favorite way to naturally scent skin and hair care products
Rose Hip Fruit Oil (Rosa rubiginosa)
The oil comes from the crushed seeds from rose hips, known as the seedpod of the flower. Rosehip oil is one of the world's most regenerative substances for the skin. It contains a special combination of anti-oxidants and vitamins being rich in vitamin C, high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, retinoic acid while also being non-greasy.
