Cupuacu Butter(Theobroma grandiflorum)
The Cupuacu fruit is about the size of a Cantaloupe and is by far the most popular fruit in Brazil. It is highly prized for its creamy, exotic tasting pulp. Cupuacu butter is a creamy and emollient butter native to Brazil, and is extracted by cold pressing the seeds of the Cupuacu tree. It is helpful for dry and damaged hair, promoting deep, long lasting hydration. Cupuacu butter has been shown to offer broad spectrum UV protection and it is a wonderful ingredient in any formulation requiring protection against sun damage. It adds luster and shine to hair while replenishing moisture.
Buriti Fruit Oil(Passiflora edulis)
Buriti Fruit Oil is extremely rich in essential fatty acids and carotenoids, including beta-carotene. Buriti is considered to be one of the richest sources of beta-carotene, with levels exceeding that of carrot seed oil. It is extremely rich in vitamin E and has one the richest nutritive source of pro-vitamin A available. The oil restores moisture lacking in sun-exposed hair. The rich unsaturated fatty acids in Buriti Oil help to rebuild, moisturize and re-hydrate dry relaxed hair strands.
Squalane Oil (Olive)
Olive Squalane is a highly refined pure vegetable Squalane made from Olive oil. Olive Squalane can help to replenish the nutritive levels of lipids lost through the normal aging process. It is rapidly absorbed without leaving an oily or greasy feeling. It is lightweight, clear, and odorless. Olive Squalane offers hair protection from heat damage.
Coconut Fractionated Oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride)
Coconut oil itself is extracted from the coconut fruit. In pure form, coconut oil is solid at room temperature. When refined or fractionated, it becomes clear and it is liquid at room temperature. Refinement gives it more of antioxidant and antibacterial effect. This variety of coconut oil is very light and quickly absorbed by hair. Kukui Nut Oil(Aleurites molucanna)
Kukui Nut oil is native to a number of islands, including the Hawaiian Islands, as well as the Malaysia and Indonesia. The oil extracted from the Kukui Nut oil is clear, with light color of gold, and thin. It contains vitamins A, C and E, which are beneficial in keeping the hair hydrated and smooth. It is said to be anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant rich with anti-bacterial properties. Hawaiians use Kukui Nut oil on dry hair that has been damaged by the sun and wind.
