Argan Oil (Argania spinosa)
Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the Argan tree from Morocco and is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. After removing the outer layer, the kernels are toasted and then cold pressed by hand to extract oil. Argan oil is loaded with tocopherols (natural Vitamin E) and Vitamin A which are helpful for skin health. This natural oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids particularly linoleic acid which protects the skin from harmful free radicals. It also contains Omega 3 and Omega 9 unsaturated fatty acids that provides nutrition to hair and helps to hydrate and moisturize hair.
Babassu Oil (Attalea speciosa)
Babassu oil is a clear light yellow vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the Babassu palm which grows in South America. Babassu oil is cold expeller pressed from the seeds of the Babassu palm tree nuts. Babassu is considered a great replacement for coconut oil which is generally considered greasier. Babassu oil is moisturizing but without the greasy or oily feel to it. This natural oil is beneficial for skin, hair and scalp conditions.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil (Limnanthes alba)
Meadowfoam Seed oil is made from the seeds of Meadowfoam grown in Oregon. The name Meadowfoam is derived from the white blooming of plants which give the image of white foam covering the soil. Meadowfoam seed oil has wonderful moisturizing and rejuvenating properties to aid in restoring dry hair. The beneficial properties of the oil include moisturizing and a non-greasy feel. Black Currant Seed Oil (Ribes nigrum)
Black Currant Seed oil is cold pressed and derived from black currants that are native to northern parts of Europe and Asia. This oil is very rich in essential fatty acids, especially omega 6 and omega 3 essential fatty acids. These berries are well-known for their health benefits, as they are rich in essential nutrients and other beneficial compounds.
Guarana Seed Extract (Paullinia cupana)
The fruit is small, round, bright-red in color, and grows in clusters. Guarana has been used in folk medicine by Amazonian Indians and derives its name from the Guarani tribe of the Amazon. Extracts from Guarana appear to have excellent antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
Rosehip Oil (Rosa rubiginosa)
The oil comes from the crushed seeds from rose hips, known as the seedpod of the flower. Rosehip oil is one of the world's most regenerative substances for the skin. Conventional hair care products can contain harsh chemical cleansers such as sodium lauryl sulphate as shampoo base.
These are known for their foaming action but can also irritate or damage your scalp and follicles.
