Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis)
Aloe Vera as part of this lotion and used during the tanning process and/or if you use it to condition and replenish moisture in your skin afterwards, your tan will last longer. Aloe Vera is good for all skin types and consist as much as 75 nutrients, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids and 200 active enzymes. Aloe Vera contains Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and B12, Vitamin C and E, folic acid and Niacin. For centuries Aloe Vera has been used to rejuvenate skin.
Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus armeniaca)
Apricot Kernel oil is cold-pressed from the dried seeds called kernels of the fruit of the apricot tree. It is high in vitamins A and E. Apricot Kernel oil contains essential fatty acids, linoleic acid, and oleic acid which have skin restorative properties. It is light easily absorbed.
Karanja Oil (Pongamia glabra)
Karanja oil is cold pressed from seeds. It has been used widely in India for on a variety of ailments and is still used in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanja oil is a related to Neem oil, so has similar therapeutic benefits with a milder scent. This oil is most used for its antiseptic properties but also is used as a skin moisturizer. Its anti-bacterial properties make it a wonderful addition to this lotion.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil (Limnanthes alba)
Meadowfoam Seed oil is made from the seeds of Meadowfoam grown in Oregon. The name Meadowfoam is derived from the typical white blooming of plants which give the image of white foam covering the soil. Meadowfoam seed oil has wonderful moisturizing and rejuvenating properties to aid in smoothing dry skin.

This is a very rich and emollient moisturizer that works to get rid of skin bumps! And, it will soften your skin. I pay particular attention to the back of my arms where I have the most bumps. It’s not cheap but it’s a small price to pay for a great lotion when you need more than moisturizing, y'all. Not only does my skin look great, but I feel great in my skin now too!

I'm usually disappointed with the results of products. I often feel like my skin can't breathe after applying them. That is not been my experience with this Smoothing Lotion. If you do research you will see that too much keratin causes skin problems like the chicken skin that I have. It looks like tiny bumps (chicken skin) that are heaviest along back of my arms. Acne is caused a number of things, but dirt is not normally one of them.
Acne blemishes form when dead skin cells mix with your body’s nutritive (sebum) oil, forming a plug in the hair follicle. Dirt may play a role in clogging the follicle but more often than not, the culprit of the plugged pore is dead skin cells.
Because dirt is not causing your acne, over washing your face or body will not make it better.
In fact, too much washing or overuse of harsh scrubs and “pore strips” can actually strip the skin of the oil it needs to stay soft and pliable.
