Andiroba Oil (Carapa guianensis)
Andiroba is a large and towering tree found in the tropical rain forests of Brazil and Colombia. Andiroba oil contains the component limonoid which is said to have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Andiroba oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids including oleic, palmitic, stearic, and linoleic acids. Andiroba oil is well known in Brazil and used to heal and improve many conditions such as dry chapped or cracked skin. Andiroba oil helps restore balance and allows your skin to heal itself.
Rosehip Oil (Rosa rubiginosa)
Rosehips were a remedy that was used by the ancient Egyptians, Mayans and Native Americans for their healing properties. The oil comes from the crushed seeds from rose hips, known as the seedpod of the flower. Rosehip oil is one of the world's most regenerative substances for the skin. It contains a special combination of anti-oxidants and vitamins being rich in vitamin C, high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, retinoic acid while also being non-greasy. Grape Seed oil is made from the seeds of grapes and is extracted without solvents or any kind of chemical processing. This skin calming lotion is very easy to apply as it penetrates quickly into my skin which is a big plus. It hydrates and moistures my dry skin. I don’t know how to explain this but it feels and looks like I did not apply any lotion to my skin, no waxy or sticky residue left behind... it feels like I’ m feeding my skin!
